Gonçalo Preto (b.1991, Lisbon, Portugal) is a Portuguese artist living and working in Brooklyn, NY. He received his MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2024 and previously studied at the Academy of Art University San Francisco in the US, the Kassel Kunsthochschule in Germany, and holds a BFA from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon in Portugal. Gonçalo is the recipient of a Fulbright/Fundação Carmona e Costa. Recent solo exhibitions include A Cadência de uma Chama, Galeria Madragoa, Lisbon, Portugal (2024); Middle Finger Pedestrians, Galeria Madragoa, Lisbon Portugal (2019); and LIMBO, Museu Carlos Machado, Ponta Delgada (São Miguel), Azores, Portugal (2019), among others.
